BOOT HILL

After our trip thru the canyon-we headed up to check out "boot hill"
this is where-at the highest point above Deadwood-Wild Bill and Calamity Jane-among many others,of course, are resting. The cemetery is divided into several sections. there is a part devoted to children-those little ones who caught "the fever" while so young-there is a separate area for the jewish-and one for the chinese population of Deadwood also. There is potters field-many un-named dead were buried here. It is really a beautiful and peaceful place-and the views of the town below are spectacular! We have had quite a day of exploring-and Mike is grilling pork chops tonight-who could ask for a better day!
