Mike and I,and of course,Ginger-are off work today-and we are ready for a field trip!
This beautiful area we are "guest" living in has so much to explore, and today we are checking out the Big Mountain resort area, and Whitefish Lake. The town of Whitefish is only a few miles from camp. Lots of good restaurants and shopping-and then there is Whitefish Lake-beautiful! We first drove up to Big Mountain-in the winter this is a very popular ski resort. Summer brings visitors to the lodges and hiking trails. We saw or first deer of the season on the road up the hill. Next we wound around whitefish Lake-the water is the most beautiful shade of turquoise-blue.
We were amazed at some of the more-than-fabulous homes around this lake-most with private boat docks-all with fantastic waterfront views. We also drove by some beautiful horse ranches-set in this pretty green valley with the mountains in the distance-so very peaceful and lush. We feel lucky to be here in the spring and summer this time-everything is in full bloom-mock orange,wild rose,wild daisies,and much more that I cannot name-but it is all so very pretty, and fragrant!
On the road that leads back into camp, we were greeted by a large deer just standing by the roadside waiting for us to come take his picture-what a good day off it has been!
