Due to popular demand-(yes really!the blog is back!
After spending almost three months in California for the Holidays-and seeing our family, getting our fill of the Pacific ocean, and just enjoying seeing everyone in our old park in Elsinore-we finally left the state the first of March. We spent a little over a month in Las vegas, staying at the favorite Oasis RV Resort. The time went by so fast! We spent a lot of time with our great friends,Cole and Kjersten-and their beautiful lab,KC. we went to three great shows-one being the end of an era in vegas, the Follies Bergere. they closed the show after nearly 50 years-we were lucky to see it their final week-it was wonderful! We were talked into seeing the Cirques
Du Soleil production of "LOVE"-we tried to protest, neither of us being huge Beatles fans. Cole and Kjersten-and to be fair-also Denise-raved about the show to the point that we just had to see it. Well,we are now huge fans of the show-and hope that if any of you out there in blog land have the chance to see the show-GO!!!!
The last show was "Downtown Gordy Brown". we had seen him a few years ago-this time we went with Cole and Kjersten-it was even better than the first time-so another recommendation for you all-Go!!!
We had two great dinners at the Lane home-the second time Cole gave us his secret lessons for great bbq success-best bbq ribs and chicken this side of Memphis-thanks again Cole!
The last Saturday in town-Cole and Kjersten came by before or dinner reservations-and surprised us with caviar and a beautiful bottle of wine. We then went to "Bootleggers" for a perfect dinner with entertainment by their singer who not only sounded like Tony Bennett-but looked like him too! It was a beautiful and perfect ending to our perfect stay in Vegas-Again-Thank you Cole, Kjersten and KC-
oh, and to the "M" casino for giving me my first ever royal flush too!
I am having picture upload issues-so sorry about this picture-less blog!
